a commentary on tbe socio-psychological impacts of the B garde movies

The ugly aspect of the B Grade Movies, Southern India made,or even those rural language movies is that those movies "spread the awareness" in the patrons of their class about the entire machinery that the police, the investigation and the judiciary can, and perhaps very regularly, collude to sustain the wrong. The wrong has become a social norm in these societies, possibly due to the social awareness tendered by such products of arts,which make a wide public reach and impacts.
    Therefore we see in the Karnataka IAS, #DKRavi murder issue, the entire crowd of the possible suspects walk into the crime scene and tamper the evidence such as finger print even before they could be collected. This was a typical scene from a B Grade Movie. True to it spirit, the police never followed-up the matter of tampered evidence , much to affirm the chapters of b Grade violence action movie, where all the state institutions are so regularly shown to be in collusion. Indeed, so much of ground co-operation could be achieved only because there was perhaps a "social awareness" drive among the masses, even if in the twisted form, brought about by the B Grade movies.
   The hero , as per the B Grade movies, is often a superhero, whose flicks of wrist can raise storms and make men fly away into air. This leaves behind a social impact that the right and the just can win a battle against the wrong only through a divine, or a superhero hero powers. Infacts this narrow, fatalism worldview has been a problem of the entire film industry of India -the bollywood, the Tollywood, the Mollywood, or the BhojpuriWood whatever you may call it- that ordinary person winning against the wrong of entire world, in it true and unadulterated form as never been brought to public awareness.
    The problem of the newly liberated society, which India has become post the 1947 liberation, is that we are lacking the social conscientious about the Right and the Wrong. But what has become more cruel with our kind of societies through the work of these B grade work of cinema is that they have made more pervert our sense of the right and the wrong, that is, our Conscience, by instilling in us the fear of life due to collusive deeds of the wrong, which they paint up as so easily possible and in rather horrifying, ghastly manner. The scense of violence, the human blood flowing in stream, the violence against women are so intense and brutal in these movies. These movies are perhaps the first stations to damage the psychology of little childern which constitute a generation of future. It is perhaps through this chain that we now actually have a perverted class of citizens treading on face of planet.

भारत में बनने वाली द्वितीय या तृतीय श्रेणी फिल्में, या कोई क्षेत्रीय भाषा की फिल्मों का एक बदसूरत पहलू यह है कि यह फिल्में किसी विकृत रूप में एक "सामाजिक चेतना" का प्रचार कर देती है कि जब भी कही कुछ गलत होता है तो  वह गलत सभी संवैधानिक संस्थाओं की सांठगांठ और रजामंदी का परिणाम होता है। इस प्रकार की कहानियों पर निरंतर टिकी यह फिल्में वास्तव में अपने दर्शक समाज में प्रशासनिक संस्थाओं के गलत आचरणों को सामाजिक चलन बना देती हैं क्योंकि वह अपने दर्शक समाज के मनोविज्ञान में डाल देती हैं कि गलत हमेशा सरकरी तंत्र की मंशा और रजामंदी से होता है। इसलिए वह गलत अब "सामाजिक चेतना" बन जाता है।
    शायद इसीलिए हम कर्णाटक के आईएस #डीकेरवि के मृत्यु के दौरान वास्तव में देखते हैं कि कैसे पुलिस द्वारा सबूतों को इकट्ठा करने से पहले ही एक भीड़ के रूप में सभी संगिध वहां घटनास्थल पर प्रवेश करके सबूतों को नष्ट कर देते हैं, या भ्रमकारी बना देते हैं। यह व्यवहार किसी द्वितीय श्रेणी की फ़िल्म से एकदम मिलता जुलता सा था। बल्कि शायद इन फिल्मों से मिली "सामाजिक चेतना" से ही वह सारे संगिध इस प्रकार एक-सहयोग से परोक्ष भीड़ निर्मित करके ऐसा कर सके होंगे। और फिर उसके उपरांत वहां की पुलिस ने भी सबूतों के साथ हुई छेड़खानी पर कोई विशेष कार्यवाही नहीं करी क्योंकि वह खुद भी ऐसी ही "सामाजिक चेतना" से ग्रस्त हैं, जो की इन बी ग्रेड फिल्मों में हमेशा दिखाया भी जाता है।
    इन बी ग्रेड फिल्मों के अनुसार हीरो कोई एक सुपरमैन किस्म का इंसान होता है जिसकी की कलाइयों के झटके से तूफ़ान आ जाते है,या आदमी हवा में उड़ कर दूर गिरते हैं। ऐसे हीरो को देख कर यही सामाजिक चेतना प्रसारित होती है कि किसी भी गलत के विरुद्ध लड़ने के लिए आप में भी ऐसी अद्भुत, करिश्माई सुपरमैन ताकत होनी चाहिए। वैसे यह सुपरमैन क्षमता वाली समस्या, जो कि हमारे शुद्र और भाग्य भरोसे जीवनशैली का नतीजा है, भारत में स्थित सभी फ़िल्म निर्माण केंद्रों की समस्या है -  बॉलीवुड , टॉलीवुड, मॉलीवुड, या भोजपुरीवुड -- चाहे जो भी हो। किसी साधारण इंसान को गलत के विरुद्ध लड़ कर विजयी होते इन फिल्मो ने दिखाया ही नहीं है, वास्तविक ज़िन्दगी से हीरो को ढूंढ कर उसके जीवन की कहानी सत्य रूप में, बिना अपनी खुद की कल्पनाओं की मिलावट करे, दिखा सकने में असमर्थ रहे हैं।
     नए नए स्वाधीन हुए समाजों की समस्या, जिनमे की भारत भी एक है अपनी 1947 की स्वाधीनता का बाद, यह है की हमारे यहाँ सही और गलत की सामाजिक चेतना इतने सालों की गुलामी के चलते मूर्क्षित और विकृत हुयी पड़ी है। मगर हमारे समाजो के साथ उससे भी क्रूर यह घट रहा है कि हमारी सामाजिक चेतना को दुरुस्त करने कि बजाये इस प्रकार के द्वितीय श्रेणि कला के उत्पाद हमारी सामाजिक चेतना में भय और विभितस्ता का प्रसार कर रहे हैं। अपने दृश्यों में यह अपने बर्बरता, और अत्यंत उत्तेजित हिंसा , रक्त की धारा के मानव शरीर से प्रवाह, नारी के प्रति हिंसा को इतनी साधारणता से प्रस्तुत करके ऐसी चेतना का प्रसार करते हैं। ऐसी फिल्में ही वह प्रथम स्थान हैं जहाँ से हम अपने बच्चों के मनोविज्ञान पर प्रशासन और आत्म-चेतना पर दुष्प्रभाव डाल रहे हैं, जो की भविष्य की पीढ़ी बन रहे हैं। शायद इसी कड़ी पर चल कर आज हमने ऐसे नागरिकों की पीढ़ी तैयार कर ली है जिसकी चेतना ही विकृत है।
